I have finally started my driving lessons. As Ross and I will be buying a car in Germany, it was decided that I should really pass my test asap.
I had my first lesson on 18th April, and it was loads of fun! My instructor, Kath, took me on some very quiet roads to practice and get used to the car and then she took me onto a main road. At one point a very impatient driver in a blue van was driving very closely behind me and eventually overtook. I'm glad he did this because without realising I took my eyes off the road and watched him in my rear view mirror. Having never driven before I couldn't understand how I would be able to take my eyes off the road for a second without crashing. It was instinct - which must be a good sign.
I'm still nervous about my next lesson because we have more main roads and possibly a roundabout coming up very soon. She seems quite confident in me so I wonder where she'll take me next?
